Jackson is the county seat of Butts County, located about 50 miles south of Atlanta along I-75. Population: ~5,000 in the city, ~25,000 in the county. It's genuine small-town Georgia โ€” slower pace, friendly neighbors, beautiful land, and a strong sense of community. Butts County was founded in 1825 and is one of Georgia's most historically rich counties.

Fun fact: Downtown Jackson was used as the filming location for Hawkins, Indiana in Netflix's Stranger Things. The Butts County Courthouse appears in the show as the Hawkins Public Library.
